Foucault's archaeological analysis does not aim to explain past events, but rather focuses on the discursive conditions in which these events have occurred. Michel Foucault's theoretical approach analyzes violence not merely as a physical act, but as a relational and strategic phenomenon within networks of power. This study utilizes a combined (qualitative and quantitative) approach to examine violence and power relations in the Middle East. In the qualitative section, Foucault’s discourse analysis, with a historical and genealogical approach, is employed to identify the roots of security and hegemonic discourses and their impact on the reproduction of violence in the Middle East. This approach analyzes the discursive and historical conditions that shape violence and the ways in which it is legitimized. In the quantitative section, statistical data related to governance indicators, internal conflicts, and political stability in the region's countries are collected from reliable international sources (ICRG and the World Bank) and analyzed. This data analysis helps identify trends and patterns of violence in the various countries of the region and contributes to understanding the relationship between weak governance and the increase in violence and unrest. The results of the study show that violence in the Middle East is a product of the complexities of power relations and dominant discourses, which, through security and hegemonic policies, have restricted the space for resistance and change.
