To diversify the oil-based economy, Saudi Arabia launched the 2030 Vision, in which plans are presented to transform all sectors of the country, including the economy. The main question now is what impact the economic reforms implemented under Vision 2030 have had on political freedoms in Saudi Arabia. To answer the question, by using the conceptual framework of the democratic transition, rentier state, and authoritarian bargain, and by adopting the descriptive-analytical method, the main drivers of the Saudi government's tendency to announce such a program have been examined, and the impact of the Vision on political and social freedoms have been discussed. In short, it can be said that however, to implement the Vision, the Saudi Kingdom is committed to transparency, accountability, and greater participation of citizens and opening up more economic and social spaces, considering the Saudi government sticking to the concentration of power in the hands of the (certain) elites, obviously the goals of the 2030 vision are not to create a dramatic change in the socio-civil status, democracy, or even the livelihood of the Saudi people, but to consolidate the monopoly of power and legitimize the royal family. In general, Bin Salman's economic reforms have increased the concentration of power in the hands of Al-Saud. Still, it can bring unwanted social changes that threaten the stability of the Al-Saud government in the long run
