If every act or action is based on a thought or idea, this question can be asked, what is the intellectual root of Russia's recent closeness to Iran and even the axis of resistance? Is it possible to explain Russia's war in Ukraine and Moscow's extremely positive view of Tehran by referring to Dugin's thoughts? If every act or action is based on a thought or idea, this question can be asked, what is the intellectual root of Russia's recent closeness to Iran and even the axis of resistance? What is Alexander Dugin's view on the historical necessity of alignment between Iran and Russia? What does he mean by the Tokyo-Berlin-Tehran strategic triangle plan? Is it possible to explain Russia's war in Ukraine and Moscow's extremely positive view of Tehran by referring to Dugin's thoughts?
To find the answer to these questions, I first interpreted Dugin's opinions about Eurasia, and conclude that Dugin's thoughts are a vein of Russian radical nationalism, which by drawing a non-western, traditional, religious, and illiberal space, has a fundamental concern: the protection of the distinct Russian civilization from the attack of the three theories that dominate the western philosophy, namely, liberalism, fascism, and Marxism. This intellectual tradition sometimes overlaps with Putin's political interests and orientations especially in the Middle east.
