The arms race in the Middle East is recognized as one of the most important security challenges at the regional and international levels. This competition has not only led to an increase in conventional and unconventional weapons, but has also taken on new dimensions with the emergence of new technologies, especially artificial intelligence. New technologies have affected all aspects of human life, and in the near future, international security will be completely influenced by new technologies, including artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is now deeply connected to weapons systems, so it plays an important role in international security issues. Countries in the region are seeking to strengthen their military and strategic power by investing in research and development of military technologies and the use of artificial intelligence. This could lead to increased tensions and instability in the region. International reactions and policies of major powers to this competition will affect regional stability and international relations. This research is methodologically within the framework of international relations theories (realism and securitization) and descriptive-analytical in nature. It attempts to describe the arms race and the spread of new military technologies in the Middle East, as well as explain the consequences of this process on regional and international security. It also provides various recommendations regarding its consequences, including that regional governments are required to develop innovative policies and cooperation in relation to artificial intelligence and new technologies in order to maintain their deterrence.
